Sharing with you stuff I REALLY like series: Yoko Kanno 1

Since my good friend Mon introduced me to Shinichiro Watanabe's Cowboy Bebop, I have grown into a love affair with not only to the anime itself (which is truly badass) but also to the composer of its music, the genius Kanno Yoko Even though I had enjoyed her music in other noteworthy anime such as Macross Plus and Vision of Escaflowne (both are favorites of mine), it was her work in Cowboy Bebop that really did it for me.

Showing remarkable versatility in creating over 5 original sountrack albums for the anime, YK has impressed me with her ability to rock, jazz, blues, and weirdo (sorry, I don't know how else to relate to her eclectic style) her way to awesome listening pleasure - not only in terms of melodies and catchiness, but also in nuance - which is the joy of music geeks like yours truly.
