Don't forget to pack your PC

For the first time in a long time I didn't pack my laptop with me while going around.
Alecon and I visited my folks; shopped for books in Alabang and a dollhouse in (a surplus scrap/junk house in) Cubao. Then she had her hair done by Ate Adis at their house in Kamias, and by the time she was done, I had finished reading the Eraserheads tribute essay anthology I had just bought and it was time to pack up for Ninong Angie's birthay party.

The separation from my laptop is significant only in that I was supposed to turn in today the projected CAPEX for a portfolio of projects this year. I had incorrecty assumed that I'd have time to do it back home.

Well I ended up working on it in the van on the way to the party (I'm still here as I write this). I intend to sneak out to the van and finish/send the blasted thing shortly.

One thing I noticed that I did a pretty good job (based on how I felt doing it) under all that pressure in the van. I felt I would take more time and with no guarantee of the same quality under more forgiving conditions.

In any case, I won't make a habit of leaving my laptop home.
